Our next meeting will be held on: July 12th, 2014
We meet the second Saturday of each month in the woodshop of the Harding School in
Coos Bay. The Harding Building is located below Marshfield High School on 7th Street.
Parking is behind the building near the football/track field. Enter the workshop through
the door on at the NW corner of the building. Look for our sign on 7th street and near
the door to the classroom.
Members, Guests and Prospective members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Meetings begin at 9am and include a club raffle, show and tell, woodturning demo and
regular club business. Coffee is also provided.
June 2014 Meeting Minutes and Notes:
It is time to get serious about preparing for the Bandon Cranberry Festival. We need
members making tops, knitting bowls, and seam ripper stands for club sales. This is an
important part of how we are able to buy equipment and to pay the expense of
operations. The club needs to have everyone supporting the club by making club sale
The Cranberry Festival is also an opportunity for club members to sell a few of their
better personal projects. Here is an opportunity to raise funds with your hobby to pay for
some new tools or additional supplies. The club charges a 30% commission to cover the
cost of the booth and related expenses.
At our July 12 meeting the demonstration of making game calls will give you the
opportunity to view Art’s demonstration better than ever before. Cameras (used) have
been purchased and Lee Bridge will put the pieces of equipment together for projecting
the view on a large screen. Be sure to attend for a great program and to checkout the

Treasurer’s Report: We currently have $2525.00 on hand. Jan Kelly also turned in another $60 from quilting
rippers that she sold.
Organizing is still taking place. There is a new DVD on Inlay’s. USE THE LIBRARY!!
There is a great deal of information in there, plus is FREE to check out and use to try
something new or improve your skills.
Ron is getting things in shape. Are there any ideas as to what we could stock that

The program this month (July) will be game calls Art Reichardt will be the demonstrator.
Those of you who plan to make one – please bring a little extra cash. We have had a
few requests for these items at the Cranberry Festival in the past.
Next month (August) our program will be preparation for the Festival – so bring your
tools as we will probably make some items for the club to sell. Make some tops – use
some color or laminate some wood. We probably also need some seam rippers. Keep
the chips flying and bring your items to show and tell.
