Message from Officers

The South Coast Woodturner’s is a group of men and women from all around the southern coast of Oregon that enjoy good friends and creating beautiful projects on a wood lathe.  Through the monthly meetings we gain inspiration and skills from each other and provide assistance in a supportive manner.  Most important is enjoying the friendship of others with a like-minded interest.

The leadership of the group is focused on providing an enjoyable and meaningful learning experience for all members regardless of their level of woodturning skills.  This is achieved through the monthly demonstrational programs which provide a variety of projects in various skill levels.  There is a mix of presenters ranging from outstanding turners from outside the club to local members with special skills.  Outstanding monthly programs are important in assisting our members in building their skills and enjoyment of woodturning.

The club has offered classes for the students at Marshfield High School and for the general public in the past and will continue to do so.  We also have provided monthly turning programs for the less experienced turners for them to grow their skills.

Visitors are always welcome at club meetings regardless of where they might live or their skill level.  Individuals that have an interest but may have little or no woodturning experience are also welcome to come and meet friendly people and to experience the world of woodturning.  If you are an individual with an interest in wood and woodturning, contact us.  Give us the opportunity to share our love of woodturning with you.
